What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead and facilitate outdoor learning activities for children aged 5-16, encouraging curiosity, teamwork, and personal growth.
  • Design and deliver exciting programs that foster resilience, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment for all participants while helping them take calculated risks and overcome challenges.
  • Inspire children to engage with nature through creative, hands-on activities like bushcraft, adventures, navigation, and team-building exercises.
  • Support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging collaboration and communication.
  • Actively promote environmental awareness and respect for the outdoors.
  • Provide feedback to children, parents, and colleagues to ensure the best possible experience.
  • Build relationships with children struggling with ASN and model positive behaviours that can change destinations.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for the outdoors and working with young people.
  • Experience in teaching, instructing, or facilitating outdoor activities.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage children in an exciting and motivating way.
  • Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment while managing risk and encouraging challenges.
  • A positive, energetic, and adaptable attitude.
  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) and any relevant outdoor qualifications (e.g., mountain leader, forest school leader, outdoor education training) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a team, as well as independently, to deliver high-quality outdoor learning experiences.
